I don’t think the gallery looks cheesy, although this is the default configuration, and it’s designed to be very configurable. I run EE myself, although mine looks the same, because I haven’t played around with PHP and styles much.

I’ve played around with Gallery2, and ZenPhoto, after first using EE, because I figured the others might be easier to customize, but after seeing all of the features that were lost after moving, I went back to EE.

It’s a little tricker to install, but looks a lot more professional compared to the others. It’s also faster in my experience.

To make matters worse I also discovered PAYG is not really an option as it limits the amount of roaming you can do around the world which I didn’t realise. For example Orange PAYG is not supported in Canada, but contract is (at least according to Orange’s web site).

I just came across this link, and I noticed the above URL was dead. However, I was able to find another website that is still valid that has direct links to downloads, and the guide is relatively straight forward

I followed the instructions, and after 10mins, I had a working Webcam for my PC, using my PS2 Eye Toy

I’ve got exactly the same problem - but it is complicated by the fact that it is a business contract and so I cann’t get a pay as you go and transfer the number.

I have tried every thing I can think of but with no progress. Orange are the most inflexable unhelpful customer unfriendly organisation I have every had the misfortune to deal with. Great Customer Service???
I don’t bloody think so!!!!

After reading your post , ( I was tempted to try coppermine gallery ) I’ve decided against trying to use that software, Gallery2 has been great in some respects,

Have had a little trouble finding the proper solution for the ffmpeg feature though,

I consider myself — extremely “noobish” in website managment and programing, I appreciate your opinion and thought I’d drop a comment to say ” thanks ”

I’m Using Fedora 7 ( WaaaY better ( functionally speaking ) than Suse, )
